• Demonstrates knowledge andapplication of the Employers mission, vision, andvalues
• Performs technical and clinical dutiesas expected of a Clinical Imaging Technologist, and maintains therequired clinical competencies appropriate for thesection
• Manages the operations of thesection(s) within the Clinical Imaging Department, with dischargeof associated administrative duties.
• Takesresponsibility for day-to-day management, throughout, and patientcare, patient scheduling, and immediate staffingneeds.
• Ensures the overall quality controlactivities and maintenance of standards within the particularsection
• Reports any job-related incidents andproblems to the Chief Technologist and/or Clinical ImagingManager
• Manages the staffing schedules for alltechnical staff
• Manages staff performance andorientation in accordance with departmental policies, procedures,and objectives
• Ensures all staff within thesection are in full compliance with the educational, training, andcompetency requirements of the department, hospital, andcorporation
• Undertakes annual staff performanceand competency assessments in accordance with departmental andcorporation requirements
• Ensures that therelevant imaging equipment within the section is appropriatelymanaged and maintained, including responsibility for resolvingequipment failures and breakdowns, preventive maintenancescheduling, testing, and completion of any remedial actions orrepairs
• Assumes accountability for ensuring thesection activities within the section comply with The Employerspolicies and procedures, and the relevant accreditationrequirements
• Is accountable for ensuring anyremedial or corrective actions are implemented in a timelymanner
• Assists the Chief Technologist andClinical Imaging Manager to implement and monitor staff compliancewith policies and operatingprocedures
