• Create accurate, detailedtechnical plans for electrical systems using computer-aided designprograms to convert specifications and design information fromengineers into schematics andblueprints
• Collect, study and combine roughsketches and initial design ideas from engineers into coherenttechnical drafts for further study and review by projectmanagers
• Prepare comprehensive wiring diagramsfor electrical equipment, power substations and residential andcommercial buildings according to project objectives, designinformation and engineeringspecifications
• Check that final technicaldrafts include all relevant information in an easy-to-read format,and verify that calculations, measurements and units are accuratebased on initial design information fromengineers
• Review technical drafts as neededaccording to verbal or written instructions from project managers,engineering team and clients
• Participate indesign process by supporting engineers and designers, contributingideas and information and creating rough sketches and diagrams ofelectrical wiring and systems on the fly
• Assistdesigners and project managers as needed in preparing technicaldocuments and presentation slides for meetings with clients andinvestors, and help sales team create materials for tradeshows andconferences
