    • Establish creative designstrategies, budgets and schedules for publishing projects incollaboration with the PublishingDirector
    • Manage the various content elementsand sources per publication.
    • Prepare designbriefs capturing the essence of the project requirements andscope.
    • Develop publication design concepts,including typography, layout, format, paper stocks, finishes,binding etc and oversee implementation
    • Prepareprint specification for book production and liaise with theprinter/publisher as required
    • Prepare designlayout, proofs for review, book mock-ups, and final mechanicalfiles for production.
    • Manage the design ofpublications in multiple languages, primarily English andArabic
    • Liaise with editors to ensure contentstructure and hierarchy in design, and work collaboratively throughthe design process to check accuracy of text andimages.
    • Work collaboratively with editors andproject coordinators to ensure smooth delivery of text and imagesand review of layout and proofs.
    • Work incollaboration with colleagues across different departments /museums and liaise with external stakeholders (freelancers,publishers, authors, printers...) throughout the design process
    • Present design concepts and solutions tostakeholders and creatively engage with feedback
    • Stay up to date with the latest techniques andprocedures used in design and print
    • Managefiles ensuring version control, and proper documentation andarchiving of projects in a professional and systematicway
    • Mange a team of multipledesigners
    • Delegate projects and tasks to teammembers, supervising quality throughout the design process, whileencouraging independent problem solving andcreativity
