About the role


Qatar Airways are excited to be launching a new opportunity to join our Customer Engagement & Loyalty team as a Loyalty Content Officer with knowledge of Arabic language.


As a Loyalty Content Officer, you will provide verbal and written translation and interpretation of marketing materials, correspondence, forms, articles, and instructional and other materials from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic.

Serve as an interpreter for a variety of meetings, workshops, conferences and special events. Examine official documents, organize and assist the department in a timely and efficient manner.

As part of the role's operational responsibilities, you will also:

  • Prepare Arabic and English literary translations
  • translate key materials, such as marketing copy and other relevant loyalty materials, from English to Arabic or Arabic to English for Loyalty Department and Management to ensure clear communication and availability of both English and Arabic materials.
  • Translate supporting documents such as websites, articles, and newsletters.
  • Specialize in Marketing and Advertising field while maintaining the content, context and tone of the original text by assisting department with proofreading and editing translated materials to ensure accuracy, completeness and fluency.
  • Conduct research to itemize terms connected with a definite terminology into a shared glossary.
  • Examine written documents for meaning and recreate this meaning in English or vice versa with a goal to deliver the meaning to relevant parties.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to discuss any unclear points.
  • Liaise with concerned parties to clarify information related to the documents by serving as an interpreter for a variety of meetings, workshops or other tasks directed by Management.
  • Deal with confidential documents and information by maintaining confidentiality between QR Departments and Marketing Agencies.
  • Perform other department duties related to this position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications:

About You

  • High School Qualification or Vocational Qualification / Diploma (or equivalent) with Minimum 4 years of jobrelated experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of jobrelated experience
  • Excellent command of formal Arabic and English, both written and spoken
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Arabic vocabulary and familiarity with idiomatic expressions and aviation terminology
  • Ability to plan, organize and to work under pressure to tight personal and departmental deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Significant level of accuracy and attention to detail of language and grammar
Preferred qualifications

  • A degree in law or equivalent
  • Professional translation qualifications such as membership of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, or Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) or other equivalent professional qualification
