Job Summary

In this role, you will be required to provide legal advice on legal and compliance matters, with a particular focus on competition law. Prepares procedures and policies on a range of legal and compliance matters, including in the aviation sector. Research and prepare contracting and negotiating strategies considering all legal, economic variables and Indices to attain a superior informed negotiating positions, considers creative solutions. Enters into negotiations to obtain the ideal cost for value outcome. Strategy, Tactics and Ethics

• Develops the contracting and negotiating strategy considering all economic variables and Indices to attain a superior informed negotiating positions, considers creative solutions.
• Identify opportunity to create a culture of high level of performance.
• Identify, recommend and develop new strategies for enhancing the productivity targets.
• Identify potential risks and threats to the Projects and propose appropriate mitigation plan to Higher Management.
• Work closely with clients across the company, becoming their trusted legal and business advisor. Understand, interpret, and apply competition law to company's current and future business model.

Operational

• Evaluate and action events based on severity of impact on current and future business, reputational and contractual obligations in full coordination with internal and external department stakeholders.
• Directs identification, development and implementation of entire range of contract formation, negotiation and administration policies and processes, with an emphasis on competition and anti-trust law (in particular in the EU) in accordance with corporate objectives.
• Research information for preparing the contracting and negotiating strategy considering all economic variables and indices to attain a superior informed negotiating positions, considers creative solutions.
• Develop and implement suggestions to company policy and procedure revision and improvement.
• Provide high quality review, analysis, negotiation and drafting of contracts.
• Identify issues and determines when the escalation procedure should be started.
• Communicates to key administrative officials the issue, facilitates and helps with the resolution in a timely manner.
• Resolve any disputes which come up and identifying areas for improvement in company's contracting processes.
• Manages contract and legal disputes and settlements in liaison with Procurement, Finance and Contracts/Legal Departments.
• Participates in bid preparation, reviewing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, cost estimating and bid price analysis, developing evaluation criteria.
• Obtain the ideal cost for value outcomes of contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal interpretations on Standard Terms and Conditions of Contracts.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role is required to have a minimum of 8 years relevant experience in aviation law. You would be a qualified lawyer with a relevant law degree. In order to be successful in this position, you would have previous experience in a reputable airline company. Experience in a multi-cultural environment in contracts and legal management is preferred. You must have experience and a track record of successfully having negotiated complex, high profile contracts with specific reference to the aforementioned types. You would rely on extensive experience, judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Note: you will be required to attach the following
