Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established byEmiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for

all phases of the oiland gas industry in the State of Qatar.
The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures

arethe exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil,natural gas and gas liquids, refined products,

synthetic fuels,petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminium.

conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development isthrough Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA)

andDevelopment and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded withmajor international oil and gas

Department

SUPPLY CHAIN

Primary purpose of job
Provide expert level contract management services and practical assistance to the project team in all stages of the project

such as tendering, execution and close out. Coordinate with project team and provide input to Contracting and procurement

strategy for the project and assess risks, pros and cons. Ensure efficient and effective implementation of the purchasing

processes and undertake the procurement of materials and equipment for Category purchasing groups from assigning of

Purchase Requisition to delivery and payment to suppliers.


Experience & Skills:

years' experience in various stages of pre and post contract activities / supply chain environment with at least

5-6 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.

  • Proficient in commercial and contractual aspect of supply chain, which includes but not limited to
preparation/evaluation/negotiation of tenders/contracts for major projects with varying complexity and diversity.

  • Possession of sound knowledge of Contracts Law is desirable.
  • Proficient in contractual correspondence, contract verbatim, report writing with analytical, logical and problemsolving
skills.

  • Thorough understanding of, engineering, procurement, construction techniques, for various contract types like
FEED/ECS/Consultancy, EPC, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and the related works/services.

  • Knowledge of incoterms and commercial implications
  • Computer literate and able to use this knowledge for contract analysis, evaluation of statistical data both historical
and projected.

  • Prepare high quality submissions for Tender committee and frame recommendations with input from project team,
supply chain function, finance and legal as required.

  • Experience in SAP transactions is desirable

Education:


  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering Discipline or equivalent and status of certification with
international organization will be advantageous. A post graduate qualification in Contract Management or Project

Management is desirable.
