- Produce accurate, balanced, wellproduced, viewer focused programmes
- Ensure AlJazeera English content and coverage is consistent with AlJazeera's standards and goals
- Decideon the editorial lines of the day and direct the team to achieveit
- Participate in the editorial meeting andpropose ideas on what news stories need more coverage and contentdevelopment
- Discuss ideas with the news teamsand producers and decide on what stories to be presented for theday
- Write scripts, openings and closings forprogrammes / reports and edit videos for stories to bepresented
- Work with creative on creating videowalls and producing sections for certainshows
