Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Timely preparation of cheques to release payment on time
- Timely highlight of financial complication and its remedy
- Proper filing of financial records in order to access on time
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Produce all statement of account to PM's at the end of each month.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Requirements:
- Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
- Bachelor's Degree
/Diploma or Professional in the field of Accounting or equivalent. - Proven experience as a junior accountant
- At least 5 years relevant working experience with a minimum of 2 years in a construction field.
- Excellent organizing abilities
- Great attention to details.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
