Responsibilities_

  • MEP coordinators consult drawings and blueprints as well as consult with engineers, designers and other contractors.
  • They will manage the required permits and submit reports to project managers MEP coordinators will plan supervise and inspect the work of the MEP subcontractors to ensure work is being done according to their time schedules.
  • Analyzes technical data, designs, specifications, supplier facilities, and availability of materials, parts and equipment.
  • Consults with engineering personnel to establish performance & product acceptance criteria.
  • Investigates potential suppliers and recommends those most desirable.
  • Works closely with engineering, maintenance and operations staff, along with other groups within and outside the Company, to quickly resolve technical issues.
  • Resolves procurement issues originating from vendors, or any group on site.
  • Maintains, controls, and reviews any site or vendor documentation affected by procurement such as past purchase documentation, vendor catalogs, drawings, manuals.
  • Reports to the Project Manager regarding procurement aspect for ongoing projects.
  • Performs other related duties as maybe assigned.
  • Plans, supervises, coordinates material handling, installation works, testing and commissioning.
  • Prepares daily and weekly program of work extracted from the main Program of Work.
  • Follows up daily progress with Site MEP Engineers.
  • Studies the drawings and specifications to assure proper performance in project site.
  • Prepares and follow up look ahead for materials and manpower, and materials procurement schedule and forward to the Construction Manager.
  • Follows up material approvals with consultant/engineer.
  • Evaluates subcontractors' performance 18. Prepares daily productivity sheets for skilled workers.
  • Attends progress meetings to facilitate resolution of any problems encountered.
  • Monitors performance of Site MEP Engineers and conduct periodical evaluation using the HR Evaluation Form.
  • Complies with the policies and regulations of company, State and companyrecognized standards.
  • Accomplishes related tasks/functions as per the instruction of the immediate superior/management.

Qualifications Required_

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 510 years of experience in coordination.
  • Available to join immediately.
  • Locally available

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
