Overall Purpose Of RoleThe Charge Nurse isresponsible for the smooth and efficient patient flow within theclinic. Delegates assignments and provides supervision for thesupport staff in accordance with their level of training and thepatient s acuity. Works, in cooperation with medical providers toensure the quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities Makes anassignment according to the needs of the patient and thecapabilities of the staff Insures standards of patient care throughQA monitors Develops and posts work schedule within time frameCalculates timecards and monitor s staff Provides direct patientcare as needed Assigns lunches and breaks for the staff Anticipatesphysician needs Communicates problems involving personnel, medicalstaff, patients, families, and the general public to theappropriate management personnel Schedules staff meetings on aregular basis Completes annual performance evaluations onstaffExperience Required Minimum of 5 years fulltime experience ina medical care setting as an RN.

Minimum of 2 years fulltimeexperience as a Charge Nurse / Nurse LeadershipEducation RequiredAssociate Degree, Bachelor s degree, from approved nursing program.[Preference to BSN] Current license to practice in any US StateAHA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications requiredPhysicalRequirements Work involves sitting and standing for prolongedperiods of time The employee is frequently required to walk, bend,stoop, kneel or crouch, lift up to 20 lbs, occasionally lift ormove 50 lbs.

Other Special Requirements Must be able to read, write,and speak English to effectively communicate. This position isunaccompanied. US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required. Must beable to relocate to Qatar. A valid passport is required and must bein your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a currentpassport during your stay in Qatar.
