    Role Profile:

    The role is responsible for supporting the Dept Head in conducting legal research, analysing and interpreting labour market trends and draft policies, assisting in the dispute resolution functions (conciliation, mediation and adjudication, under the Commission for Conciliation and Adjudication, as well as providing legal support to the team.

    The role manages its functions with integrity, in accordance with the Dept Head instructions, in line with the Company strategy related to the labour market as well with international best practices.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Conflict Resolution and Mediation: Effectively addresses disputes and disagreements, using mediation techniques to guide parties towards mutual understanding and resolution.
    2. Promotion of Legal Awareness: Actively participates in legal initiatives and programs, fostering awareness of legal principles, rights, and responsibilities among peers and the academic community.
    3. Institutional Engagement: Builds and maintains strong relationships with sister entities, university departments, faculty members, and student organizations to enhance the legal academic environment and promote collaborative opportunities.
    4. Upholding Ethical Standards: Demonstrates a strong commitment to legal ethics, integrity, and the rule of law in all academic and extracurricular activities.
    5. Effective Communication: Engages in open dialogue with peers, professors, and professionals, ensuring clarity, mutual understanding, and productive collaboration in group projects and discussions.
    6. Critical Analysis and Decision Making: Approaches legal scenarios and case studies with a comprehensive perspective, weighing potential outcomes and implications before drawing conclusions or making recommendations.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor or Master's degree or equivalent in law from a recognized University. Postgraduate qualification or specialism in Employment Law preferred.
    • Minimum Experience: 3+ years of experience in employment laws or other relevant experience
