    Role Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Digital Policy & Regulations Consultant to join PwC MiddleEast. As a Digital Policy & Regulations Consultant, you will be navigating the complex landscape of digital governance. Leveraging a deep understanding of global regulations and industry standards, you will develop comprehensive strategies to ensure compliance for organizations.

    Role and responsibilities

    PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

    • Digital Regulations
    • Understand how Digital regulatory environments act, their challenges and what is needed to reform.
    • Global acumen about global countries how they went around regulating digital topics i.e GDPR, Digital Act, Cross data flow and others.
    • Worked with National Digital regulators either regionally or globally.
    • Familiar with global regulatory indices.
    • Ability to develop regulatory frameworks/ which include assessing a regulatory environment and identifying regulatory gaps and coming with a roadmap.
    • Provide technical advice and guidance in design of digital regulatory instrument s which include policy/standards/guidelines.
    • Offer technical support in the design of legislative, administrative, methodological concepts, terms of references or technical specifications that are necessary in the course of formulation and implementation of digital regulatory actions, in direct collaboration with relevant institutions at all government levels.
    • Provide technical advice and expert support in the preparation of concepts, work documents and assessments related to interoperability, information systems, e-services, e-government.
    • Digital Government
    • Experience in developing Digital government policies, strategies, and roadmaps.
    • Understand the new concept and key trends of Digital Government.
    • Familiar with global Digital Government indices i.e. EGDI, EPI, GEMS, etc.
    • Global acumen about global countries how they went around how they took their digital governments to the next level i.e. Estonia, Singapore, South Korea.
    • Ability to develop Digital Government frameworks/ which include assessing a current state, identifying gaps and coming with a roadmap.
    • Highly knowledgeable about the EGDI and its sub-indices.
    • Understand the World Bank and UN requirements for EGDI scores.
    • Well-versed with the metrics, indices, and scoring of numerous technology and global indices, and is intimately familiar with the EGDI score.
    • Extensive experience working with European countries in developing an improvement plan for increasing the EGDI score and can provide valuable support in a benchmarking exercise.
    • Highlighted that there are several ways to improve a country's score, but it is essential to develop a robust strategic plan for the long-term improvement of a nation.
    • Highly knowledgeable about the metrics and indicators used for the EGDI score and its sub-indices, including the thought process behind the rankings and countries' performance in the metrics.
