• Monitors via terminals and alarms,the operations of the designated area and coordinates processactivities according to Instructions received and productionrequirements. Includes continuous monitoring of instruments andequipment, making field adjustments according to process parametersas required.
• Maintains continuous radio contactwith Rover and Senior Operators to keep them informed of operatingconditions to request manual adjustments of equipment, to carry outon-site readings and convey instructions given by ShiftSupervisor.
• Maintains continuous liaison withother Panel Operators to coordinate the required supplies accordingto production conditions.
• Alters operatingconditions or product flows to allow prior isolation of equipmentfor maintenance and re-commences operations according toprocedures, following completion of maintenance. Keeps himselfaware of ongoing maintenance work by reviewing permit to workrecords/logs.
• Communicates with the PanelOperator of other areas to coordinate operations that may affectthe operation and/or production of any unit within the Plant.Includes informing each other of changes and synchronizingactivities to minimize loss ofproduction.
• Determines developing trends inoperating conditions, reporting significant changes and initiatingaction as required.
