    Job Purpose

    In line with Enova's values, responsible for the sustainable growth of the company's activities, revenues, profit, and customer portfolio. Success will be achieved by managing business development projects, from creating an opportunity, through preparing a winning proposal, to signing off the contract.

    Strategy and Budget

    • Contribute to identifying and implementing the company's strategy, ensuring effective cascading into implementable policies and procedures aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.
    • Contribute to preparing the Business Development budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure awareness of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly.

    Upstream Development

    • Develop a thorough understanding of clients' organizations in Qatar and global practices by conducting due diligence and staying up-to-date on industry trends, issues, challenges, etc.
    • Maintain and update the Business Development database with client details, non-awarded bids, technical and commercial aspects of proposals, etc., keeping information confidential.
    • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluate options and resolve internal priorities to recommend suitable new opportunities contributing to growing the organization's market position and increasing revenues.
    • Manage liaison with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Marketing, Operations, etc., departments regarding gathering relevant inputs and new business development opportunities from clients.
    • Provide inputs to the Technical department on client needs and market trends, commercially viable, to enhance services and cater to client needs.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain relationships with new Enova clients, set up meetings, and understand their needs for new services to advise clients appropriately on offered services and develop new business for the organization.
    • Participate in meetings with clients for post-bid reviews, post-contract awards, or other required meetings to ensure smooth client relationship management and provision of technical input where necessary.
    • Stay aware of all services clients utilize from Enova, issues, and requests raised across any department, including call center, operations, etc., to ensure awareness about the client.

    Proposal Management

    • Prepare technical and commercial aspects of bids and provide necessary feedback to the team to ensure compliance with standards, quality, and timeframes, and include all required services in the final price to the customer.
    • Manage and track potential project risks, highlighting them in proposals to ensure the company is aware of these risks and can mitigate them throughout the project.
    • Resolve technical or commercial issues raised by the team in the bid management process and escalate complex issues to the line manager to ensure timely resolution using the right approach.
    • Prepare executive summaries for proposals/bids and develop commercial aspects of bids to ensure all services are included in the final price to the customer.
    • Maintain confidentiality of client data and information, and commercial aspects of proposals, to safeguard integrity and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
    • Ensure new business deals are closed through proper coordination, handover of requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.

    Statements and Reports

    • Supervise analysis of reasons for not winning bids and suggest suitable ways of improvement, as applicable, to the line manager to minimize similar non-awards in future.
    • Supervise preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet Enova and department requirements, policies, and standards.
    • Develop reports for management on business development opportunities and plans to facilitate informed decision-making.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering
    • 12+ years of experience in Business Development working environment in Qatar

    Job-Specific Skills:

    • Ability to understand clients' needs, build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and clients, reach agreements, maintain interests, and close deals.
    • Ability to prepare Facilities Management and/or Energy Management proposals from a commercial perspective (pricing methodology) and technical perspective (technical write-up).
    • Ability to analyze projects and write relevant abstracts (executive summaries, memos for the Board, risk scenarios analysis).
    • Excellent project management skills, PMP
    • Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral
