Head of English - Secondary
Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is looking to appoint an outstanding Head of English (Secondary) to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

You demonstrate excellent management skills such as resource management, curriculum planning, data analysis, performance tracking, task delegation, organisation of meetings and creating teacher timetables.
You lead a learning culture where students are supported, challenged, and inspired to be the best they can be - students in classes across the department will believe there are no limits to what can be achieved.
Your excellent motivation and communication skills enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement, and personal investment within all lessons across the department.
Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.
As a strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents across both our school (NAISAK), and the wider Nord Anglia Education communities.
Your strong motivation and communication skills will also enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement, and personal investment within the classroom.
You will have the following:
- teaching qualification
- substantial Secondary level teaching experience, and knowledge of the English National curriculum, and IGCSE and A Level curriculums
You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Qatar, including possession of a Bachelor's degree and a teaching qualification from a face-to-face (non-online) course.
About the role
As Head of English, you will be responsible for leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment, reporting, student behaviour, and professional development of teachers across the English department.
