Our Doha office is looking to appoint consultants to support its continued expansion in the government and public sector, a strategic priority for the firm. Principals are experts in particular content areas and provide day‑to‑day leadership of complex client projects and aspects of the client relationship as well as the commercial process, teaming with Partners. They ensure excellent project delivery that meets or exceeds agreed upon goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice as well as their own expertise. They become trusted advisors to senior clients, with the ability to guide and influence their thinking, and are viewed as experts in particular content areas. Oliver Wyman Principals are seen as Partners of the future and, as such, are fully engaged in building business through identifying new and expanded opportunities; they create exciting intellectual capital through thought leadership and are knowledgeable on a broad range of adjacent topics. Principals develop others and build a strong personal brand both within and outside the firm.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading teams of consultants in complex analysis and problem‑solving including problem structuring, analytical techniques, synthesis, and recommendation development
• Leading project execution through excellent case management: work planning, managing workflow, upward management, and coaching/developing team members
• Managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Developing trusted relationships with clients and managing client relationships and networks, presenting to board audiences, and working day to day with clients
• Together with a Partner team, leading business development and sales efforts

Clients hire Oliver Wyman for specialized expertise. The ideal candidate will have most of the following:

• A degree from a top academic program
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top‑tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization).
• Experience in leading projects in the governmental/ public sector institutions, ideally in the GCC region
• Expertise on relevant subject matters: Sector development, regional development & national champion strategies & investment attraction strategies, policy infrastructures, strategic support to ministries and government entities, amongst others
• A track record of leading and managing teams and clients, and delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environments
• Ability to apply content knowledge, provide thought leadership in project execution, and to develop new intellectual capital to support business development activities
• A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
• Outstanding communication skills; comfort in presenting to senior executives, both internally and to clients
• A strong can‑do attitude, willingness to take the initiative, curiosity and desire to learn
• Arabic language is a plus
• Willingness to travel
