Pest control technician duties and responsibilities


A qualified pest control technician should be confident in their ability to handle multiple duties and responsibilities on any given workday.

The primary responsibility of a pest control technician is to detect and eliminate unwelcome pests from homes and businesses.

Some specific pest control technician duties include:

  • Conducting thorough interior and exterior inspections to locate dangerous pests
  • Offering sound advice on both chemical and natural pest control remediation options
  • Providing estimates for onetime treatments and continual maintenance
  • Setting traps for rodents
  • Spraying perimeters of homes and structures for termites, ants and other insects
  • Safe and efficient removal of wasp, hornet and bees nests
  • Laying down bait pellets to eliminate rats and mice
  • Covering holes with foam, mesh and wood to hinder rodent entry
  • Recommending products and servicesfor effective pest control
  • Reporting to Supervisor

Salary:
QAR1, QAR1,500.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • High school or equivalent (required)

Experience:

Pest Control Technician: 2 years (required)


Language:


  • English (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Qatar Valid light driving license (required)
