    About the role

    Qatar Airways are excited to be launching a new opportunity to join our Corporate Communications as an Events and Exhibitions Coordinator.

    As an Events and Exhibitions Coordinator, you will be handling administrative and Operational support for the events team throughout the entire lifecycle of corporate events and projects.

    As part of your daily responsibilities, you will also:

    • Provide logistical and administrative support to the Senior Events and Exhibition Officer.
    • Manage all administrative tasks and documentation associated with event planning, including liaising with finance, accounts payable, and procurement.
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders through the event planning process to discuss and identify event specifications such as scope, format, budget, administrative details, and special requirements.
    • Manage assigned event functions with minimum supervision - from preparation and set-up through teardown ensuring adherence to planned format.
    • Assist the Senior Event and Exhibition Officer in tracking, and reporting on financial aspects of events.
    • Maintain updated records and database of suppliers, including performance records.
    • Organize and perform post-event tasks such as meetings, reviewing invoices and bills, following up on payments, and documenting issues, resolutions, and corrective actions.
    • Manage promotional materials stock and oversee distribution.
    Qualifications

    About You

    A successful candidate should possess the following experience and qualifications:

    • High School Diploma / Vocational Qualification with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
    • Excellent command of English language.
    • Awareness of the events and conference industry.
    • Project Management skills.
    • Full understanding of event planning cycles.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Attention to detail.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Previous work experience in Events, Exhibitions or with and Event Agency.
    • Experience in a position related to events/promotions.
    • Expertise in planning/organizing
    • Negotiation/influencing skills.
