    About the roleOperations - AssistantDepartment Head - Secure and service Catering Business from Socialand Corporate Market, through promotion, and prospecting, whilemaintaining standards and revenue.

    What you will do

    • Finalise the requirements of personally assigned bookings whilemaximising revenue potential through up selling and ensuringeffective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports)and personal contact with all departments for the success of theevent. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review oncompletion of program or event.
    • Day to day supervision ofthe Group, Social & Corporate functions. Includingmaintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of allwritten communication procedures.

    These procedures include but arenot limited to:

    Menu and Event Proposals, Contracts, Banquet EventOrders, Resumes, Daily Events Report, and Sales & CateringGolden Input Standards and execution of banquet events.


    • Host and ensure maximum effectiveness of Banquet Event OrderMeetings, Resume meetings, and participate in the review, audit,and assignment to the Catering & Conference Services teamof all booking turnovers from the Sales Department
    • Participate in the preparation and analysis of the Catering weeklyfinancial forecast
    • Find solutions to the inevitablechallenges and glitches that arise while groups are on property andkeep Catering & Conference Services Manager and PlanningCommittee promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusualmatters so prompt corrective action can be taken.
    • Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities and dimensionsof meeting space and basic operational needs of all operatingdepartments.
    • Make timely and impromptu decisions, whichbalance client s needs with the financial, safety and staffinggoals of the hotel.
    • Plan and/or attend and/or participatein meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but notexclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Morning S&M TeamBriefing, Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, SalesMeeting, Pre-Convention Meetings and Menu Tastings.
    • Respond according to the crisis management plan to any hotelemergency or safety situation.
    • Comply with Four Seasonsstandards for sales and marketing, while working harmoniously andprofessionally with co-workers and planning committee.
    • Will be responsible for selling and accountable for an individualgoal in the local catering market.
    • Actively prospect,entertain clients, site-inspections and sales calls, handleinquiries, develop new business and maintain a portfolio of currenttraced accounts to ensure a full pipeline and ultimately exceedCatering revenue targets.
    • Supervise the execution ofbanquet events and exceed client expectations and strengtheningclient relationships at the outset of all events. Review allfunction space with appropriate banquet staff prior to event andfind solutions to the inevitable challenges and glitches that arisewhile events are on property.
    What you bring

    • Collegeeducation preferred
    • Min. 3 years of experience as aCatering or Conference Services Executive or higher
    • English, French & Arabic languages is a must.
    • Leadership experience is an advantage
