We are seeking a self-motivated and result oriented General Manager to direct and manage a contracting firm's multi-million Qatari Riyal business activities; and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.


Duties for the General Manager include:

  • Formulate Policies and Allocate Budget Resources
  • Coordinate and Oversee Daily Business Operations
  • Monitor and Motivate, and thereby Increase Staff Productivity
  • Create and Manage Budgets / Operational Costs
  • Ensure Good Customer Service
  • Improve Administrative Processes
  • Engage with Vendors and Develop Proper Supply Chains
  • Hire and Train Employees
  • Identify Business Opportunities and Convert them to Jobs
  • Improve Service
  • Ensure Sustainability
  • Meet Business Objectives
  • Develop and Implement Growth Strategies, thereby increasing Revenue and Profits
  • Evaluate Performance and Productivity of Employees
  • Analyze Accounting and Financial Data
  • Generate Reports and prepare Management Information Reports

Requirements:


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Post-Graduation / MBA will be an added advantage
  • Adequate technical knowledge in Oil & Gas related and other industrial jobs
  • Experience in EPIC and construction contracts of Large Multi-Million Dollar jobs (in the range of US$ 300 million) is a must
  • Good knowledge of different Business Functions
  • Strong Leadership Qualities.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Highly Organized.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail.
  • Strong Work Ethic.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills.


  • Computer Literate

  • Work experience in SAP is preferred
  • Proactive Nature.
  • Shall be committed to implement a proper Health and Safety Culture (HSE) throughout the Organisation.
  • Shall be Committed to the Quality of Work Executed in all areas and shall ensure a Win-Win situation for all the Stake Holders
The incumbent General Manager shall report to the Executive Director and work as an independent Profit Center Head.

They shall be responsible for developing adequate resources and creating revenue and profits as per the Yearly Business Plans developed by the Company.
