- Inspects andperforms maintenance tasks daily to ensure all pools and spas areclear in appearance and proper water balance is maintained. Checksall equipment components for proper operation. This requires theindividual to be able to visually inspect and detect items needingrepair and requires knowledge in the trade.
- Maintainsdetailed records in English for logs and inspection.
- Maintains pool inventory of supplies needed to perform jobfunction. Prepares requisition for purchase as required; allpurchases must be approved by department managers. SupportiveFunctions In addition to performance of the essential functions,this position may be required to perform a combination of thefollowing supportive functions, with the percentage of timeperforming each function to be solely determined by the supervisorbased upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
- Maintains the swimming pool and the water clarity always at bestconditions
- Cleans and maintains water featurecomponents.
- Ensures the application and the execution ofa good preventive maintenance program for related equipment andmachineries. Add the chemicals as instructed by the supervisor.
- Carry out analysis of pool balance parameters daily andrecord them in the operational log sheets for reference ofsupervisor.
- Responsible for the maintenance of swimmingpool interior lights. Is responsible for minor electricalmaintenance of swimming pool pump stations. Physical RequirementPerforming these duties requires experience in using basic hand andpower tools and the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push andpull weights up to 80 lbs., climb ladders up to 40 feet high andreach in all directions, often times overhead QualificationsSpecific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability The individual mustpossess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be ableto explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essentialfunctions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Knowledge and skills in water balance chemistry and allphases of pool/spa operation, and to be able to use basic hand andpower tools.
- Ability to repair pumps, motors, filters,and repair pipes.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift,push and pull weights up to 80 lbs., climb ladders up to 40 feethigh and reach in all directions, often times overhead.
- Timely updates the preventive maintenance program to thesupervisor.
- Use all necessary precautions regarding themanipulation of chemical products.
- Ensures recommendedhealth and hygiene conditions of swimming pool at all times.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the work place and pumpstations ensures the self and environmental safety. Also ensuressafety of Pool Attendants.
- Maintain good work relationswith the recreation team to cater to the off hours guest demands.
- Attend for all the maintenance work related to the pools& water features.
- Attend maintenance request,maintenance calls and repairs related to all types of maintenanceworks in the plant rooms.
