    The Graphic Designer JobDescription

    The Graphic Designer is responsiblefor creating and designing graphics for the use in media productssuch as magazines labels advertising and signage developingconcepts graphics and layouts for product illustrations companylogos and websites. He should be able to capture the attention ofthose who see the graphic design and communicate the right message.For this he needs to have a creative flair and a strong ability totranslate requirements into design. His major goal as a GraphicDesigner is to inspire and attract the targetaudience.

    • Study design briefs anddetermine requirements.
    • Conceptualize visualsbased on the requirements.
    • Prepare rough draftsand present ideas to the concernedteam.
    • Develop illustrations logos and otherdesigns using software or by hand.
    • Use theappropriate colors and layouts for eachgraphic.
    • Follow the latest designtrends.
    • Test graphics across variousmedia.
    • Amend designs after getting constructivefeedback from the superior.
    • Ensure finalgraphics and layouts are visually appealing and as per the brandstandard.
    • Determine the size and arrangement ofcopy and illustrative material as well as font style andsize.
    • Ensure projects are completed with highquality and on schedule.
    • Establish creativedirection for the company as well as the brandguidelines.
    • Prioritize and manage multipleprojects within design specifications and budgetrestrictions.
    • Perform retouching andmanipulation of images as needed.
    • Coordinatewith printing companies and other suppliers asneeded.

    Skills:

    • Provengraphic designing experience.
    • A strongportfolio of illustrations or othergraphics.
    • Familiarity with design software andtechnologies (Adobe Creative Suite).
    • A keen eyefor aesthetics and details.
    • Knowledge oflayouts graphic fundamentals typography print and theweb.
    • Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop IllustratorSketch InDesign and other graphic designsoftware.
    • Compelling portfolio of work over awide range of creative projects
    • Stronganalytical skills
    • Excellent communicationskills.
    • Ability to work methodically and meetdeadlines.
