The Senior Operations Engineer providescritical support to well services offshore operations as he/shecoordinates with all QatarEnergy teams to gather their requirementsthrough routine & non-routine meetings, prepares weekly,quarterly, and yearly plans for barges and vessels, preparesoperations programs, ensures HSE compliance in work programs andprovides engineering support to operations team, as and whenrequired


Principal Accountabilities:
1.

Coordinating the overalloffshore well service planning from all stakeholders (such as WellSurveillance, Well Integrity, Wellhead operations, Production, etc)to ensure an optimum & efficient activity plan under wellservices scope in accordance with the company policies &guidelines.

Gather consolidated SOW for execution by Well ServicesOperations team. Review well history and reports and advise forappropriate action plans to mitigate integrity and operationalrisks. 2.

Implement best practices within the organization andensure continuous improvement based on lessons learned and managethe implementation of trials to test new well services technologiesand techniques supplied by various contractors to findfit-for-purpose solutions for offshore wells.

3. Prepare wellservices operations business plans (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)based on wells priority and operations criticality as advised bystakeholders. 4. Provide engineering support to Well ServicesOperations team and ensure smooth and safe workflow.

Ensure thatall well services programs are prepared in accordance with therequirements of the Drilling Reference Manual (DRM) and byidentifying and mitigating risks through a systematic hazardmanagement approach in compliance to QatarEnergy HSE policy.

5.Develop performance management initiatives for well servicesactivities and ensure KPI inputs are gathered, evaluated, andreported. Also, prepare the well services scope budget forecast andactual utilization. 6. Initiate and participate in well servicescontract tenders and technical evaluation till award. 7. Monitorthe validation of field data gathered and integrity of data enteredinto the open well database. 8. Maintain contact with industry onwell services issues to ensure QatarEnergy well services operationsare aligned with current industry best practices. Includingimplement new technologies within well services department andprovide detailed technical reports upon completion. 9.
