• Consistently observes and enforces all USAF and host nationexplosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during allexplosives and non-explosives operations in assigned sites andtemporary duty locations.
• Up channels any issuesimpacting munitions operations to Munitions Control andSuperintendent.
• Takes necessary control and ensurestimely response actions during emergencies.
• Conducts allmunitions work according to established quality processes,identifying potential problems and recommending solutions. Maysupervise Asian/Local National Munitions Workforce while providingclear instruc​tions about the work.
• Inspects munitionsand containers in accordance with 11A-1-10, applicable technicaldirectives.
• Accurately documents all serviceability andaccountability actions in a timely manner.
• Works closelywith operations personnel to resolve any serviceability andaccountability issues noted during the inspection processes.
• Conducts warehouse inventories and corrects anydiscrepancies.
• Provides support to the assigned custodyaccounts of the deployed forces.
• Inspects and certifiesmunitions brass, residue and containers in accordance with11A-1-60.
• Operates assigned Combat Ammunition System asis applicable to Site's processes.
• Reconditions,repairs and replaces defective or missing parts of munitions andcontainers.
• Performs munitions storage actions accordingto the stringent explosives standards.
• Inspects,operates and performs operator maintenance on light vehicles andhandling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and manualhoists.
• Inspects and operates electronic test equipment,metal strapping equipment, stencil machines, heat sealers,pneumatic paint guns, air compressors and power tools.
• Inspects and performs minor maintenance on facilities and installedequipment. Cleans vehicles, equipment and facilities.
• Prepares and delivers general and explosives safety briefings forall explosives operations.
• Works necessary hours, toinclude stand-by duties, to support mission requirements duringpeacetime and combat contingencies.
• Perform other dutiesas assigned.
• Works in normal office and maintenance shopor warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors forextended periods.
