DESIGN DUTIES:
- Research furnishings, fabrics, fixtures and finish materials; including cost estimates
- Create PowerPoint presentations & mood boards & assist in client presentations
- Prepare and update material schedules
- Site visits to develop accurate space plans through field measures
PURCHASING DUTIES:
- Order and maintain sample library
- Price selected items and specify reselections
- Work with designers to order approved items
- Vendor follow up to ensure timely delivery
CLIENT/PROJECT MANAGEMENT DUTIES:
- Prepare and update project furnishings budget.
- Assist with contract management.
- Attend Client meetings as requested.
- Oversee receiving and manage any repair/claim concerns.
- Work with design team to schedule installs.
- Assist in receiving and on installations to ensure all items are delivered, inspected, damages recorded, and repairs scheduled.
- Site visits to ensure proper design execution and provide status updates to management.
- Work with clients and designers to resolve issues and ensure successful completion of projects.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Prepare reports, product specifications, cost estimates, presentation material and other documentation.
- Responsible for maintaining company calendar, scheduling meetings and managing deadlines.
- Record keeper at meetings, capturing relevant tasks for followup.
- Organize project binders, online project files and client samples.
- Prepare client proposals and track invoicing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma.
Mandatory Experience/Background:
- A minimum of two years' experience in highend residential construction.
- Interior Design education may substitute for mandatory experience.
- Must take initiative and be capable of working in a fastpaced environment.
- Requires excellent computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Power Point.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail required with the ability to manage and organize multiple tasks and work as part of a team.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and auto insurance for occasional company business.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Two or more years of work experience in a design firm, working with highend clientele.
- Proficiency in Design Manager and the ability to read blueprints.
- AutoCAD, Photoshop and/or Sketchup a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (unpacking merchandise, assisting on install and updating library materials).
- Must be able to climb a ladder for installation assistance.
- Will periodically be required to sit at a desk or a computer for extended periods of time.
PACKAGE:
3000 QAR Salary and a certain percentage as commission on every project completion.
