they are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Qatar on a long-term basis.


Overview / Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:


  • Carry out Civil engineering work to support the field development of oil and gas production facilities.
  • Plan, organize, and control a segment of the Civil/Structural engineering deliverables for the project.
  • Prepare Civil deliverables ensuring compliance with engineering codes, standards, and the client's policies and procedures.
  • Conduct analysis and design using engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, SACS, Matt 3D, etc.
  • Ensure all work is completed with high quality and delivered according to the project schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Client's Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance staff to ensure a consistent approach to project completion.
  • Provide technical advice and innovative solutions to address diverse technical problems within the discipline.
  • Assist in coordinating all activities related to Civil engineering design.
  • Identify any areas of concern regarding progress and/or quality and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Liaise with other disciplines and designers to accommodate their requirements.
  • Collaborate with Designers in the preparation of CAD drawings, civil drawings and details, using software such as MicroStation, Smartplant 3D, E3D, AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS, Tekla, etc.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward safety in both design and office environments.
  • Provide relevant practical skills and support for site visits, surveys, queries, discussions, and activities related to suppliers, vendors, contractors, clients, and the site.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Proven core Civil Engineering skills, including design experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Experience in a variety of projects and phases, including greenfield and brownfield, on and offshore, from Pre-FEED through to EPC, with a focus on offshore upstream.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive individual with a drive for high achievement, initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good organizational awareness.
  • Ability to impact and influence fellow workers.
  • Customerfocused with the ability to respond to customer needs while achieving project and corporate objectives.
  • Display analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability for work in Doha, Qatar
  • Demonstrable experience of working independently or remotely from technical leadership personnel (functional leadership will be within the Doha office).
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a small project office, supporting crossdiscipline activities beyond their core discipline.
