We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer with significant expertise in the oil and gas industry, particularly within Qatar's operational environment.

This role involves overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment within oil and gas facilities.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to the oil and gas industry in Qatar.

Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments of work areas, equipment, and procedures to identify potential hazards and risks.

Safety Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and site personnel, emphasizing best safety practices and emergency procedures.

Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, or near-misses, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Safety Policies and Procedures: Develop, review, and update safety policies, procedures, and manuals in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, prepare reports, and communicate findings to management for corrective actions.

Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness for responding to emergencies effectively.

Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among all staff members, fostering a safe and healthy work environment.

Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and regulatory bodies on safety-related matters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.


Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Qualified engineering graduate with degree certificate from a recognized University. Good in English.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Safety Officer in the oil and gas industry.
  • Profound knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices in the oil and gas sector.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
Up to QAR8,000.00 per month

- post qualification: 3 years (required)


License/Certification:

  • Qatar Driving License (required)
