    Accountant - Treasury "JobDetails" Job Description


    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Accountant
    • Treasury supports all financial and accounting matters pertainingto cash collections, daily cash reconciliation, and ensuresaccuracy of cashier functions.
    The post holder assists the linemanager in all cash related functions. S/he assists in thedevelopment of automated reporting of cash forecasting, cashposition and refunds & reconciliation process.


    KEY ROLEACCOUNTABILITIES:
    Coordinates the cashiers' functions.
    Assists and trains cashiers and assistant accountant. Contributesto the recruitment of suitably qualified and experienced CashiersAssists in preparing the cash forecasting and analysis. Assists inperforming complex cashiering and back office functions for daily,weekly and monthly cash collection and reconciliation. Managestransaction within the hospital billing and refund policies, withconfidentiality. Provides continuing training and guidance tocashiering staff.

    Ensures team adherence to the Sidra policies andprocedures Assists with the preparation of the daily bank depositin accordance with Sidra policies.

    Assists with the verification,processing and posting of all direct debits, standing orders andother automatic payments. Assists in the maintenance of the recordsof all cash applications and cash / receipts reconciliation.

    Performs and assists with error correction and balancing on a dailybasis Assists the line Manager in contributing to all managementreporting functions in relation to cash receipts within thetreasury activities in an accurate and timely manner.

    Attendsadministrative meetings and participates in committees and workinggroups for Treasury and Corporate Finance as requested Participatesin professional development activities and maintains professionalaffiliations.

    Performs other related duties as assigned. Adheres toSidra's standards as they appear in the Code of Conductand Conflict of Interest policies. Adheres to and promotesSidra's Values.


    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


    ESSENTIAL PREFERRED Education Bachelor's Degree inBusiness and/or Finance (Commerce / Accounting) Experience 3+ yearsof experience in treasury / cash management Treasury / cashmanagement knowledge and experience in healthcare is an advantage.

    Certification and Licensure Professional Membership CMA, CPA, CGA,CA, CFA or other Accounting or Finance Designation Job SpecificSkills and Abilities Knowledge of treasury / cash management;Detail oriented, analytical and problem solving ability, Excellentinterpersonal skills (verbal and written) needed to present andcommunicate effectively with all levels of management; Ability towork independently.

    Demonstrated ability to work in a teamenvironment. Knowledge of Finance policies and procedures. Supportsthe mission, ethics, and goals of Sidra, as well as the focusstatement of the department. Proficiency with Microsoft Officesuite including MS Project.

    Fluency in written and spoken EnglishKnowledge of ERP solutions (specifically Oracle Fusion ERP), ECMSolutions from an accounting and finance perspective, in a HealthCare environment.
