    Leads the monitoring and oversight of the multiple EPC's piping fabrication and painting shop set up, production and quality Supports EPC contractors in optimizing fabrication shop production to meet delivery targets and ensure onsite installation milestones met Implements assurance of EPC contractor fabrication shop quality procedures and management system, identifies areas for improvement / optimization and drives implementation through contractors.

    With support of Client SHES team, implements assurance of EPC contractor fabrication safe systems of work and SHES management systems, identifies areas for improvement and areas of noncompliance and drives rectification through contractors.

    Ensures accurate and timely reporting by EPC contractors on SHES, Quality and delivery metrics back to Onshore EPC Project, Quality and Construction Managers.

    Supports clients EPC Quality, SHES and Construction Managers in identification and resolution of quality, SHES and delivery issues within fabrication shops.

    Prepares and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Onshore Head Construction Superintendent (NFE Onshore Project EPC-1). Engages with NFE Onshore Head Construction Superintendent to ensure fabrication shop priorities are aligned with construction strategy. The Mechanical & Piping Fabrication Shop Superintendent – EPC-1 position will be responsible for delivery, through the onsite piping fabrication shops, of all project on site piping prefabrication (approx. 10-mil. dia inch) incl painting/coating. Takes responsibility for safety, quality, and schedule within their area of responsibility and supervise relevant construction personnel.

    Your Tasks

    Provide strong, consistent safety leadership to EPC's fabrication shop teams, their subcontractors and vendors.

    Responsible for the implementation of the Onshore Project Site Safety, Health, Environment and Security program within the individual EPC Contractor fabrication shops Responsible for ensuring the EPC's Fabrication shop Contractor Team's implement and sustain their obligations and responsibilities for SHES project deliverables Onshore Project EPC's Team Quality and Construction representative for monitoring and coordinating on site fabrication shop activities.

    Reports on the SHES, Quality and Production activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions to the NFE site manager and relevant EPC Construction, quality and SHES leads.

    Provides accurate, timely and routine reports to the site manager and relevant EPC Construction, quality and SHES leads on project planning and execution activities.

    Leads appropriate weekly fabrication progress review meetings with relevant EPC Contractors. Participates in weekly site construction, quality and SHES review meetings.

    Responsible for implementation of execution activities and ensures development, review, and approval (as required) of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for safe and effective delivery through the onsite fabrication shops.

    Reviews and approves the individual EPC Contractor fabrication shop teams construction sequences, prioritization, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements to ensure comprehensive safety, optimized sequence to support overall project delivery and constructability in their area of responsibility.

    Leads fabrication shop incident investigations with support from the SHES organization.

    Ensures fabrication shop activities are completed in accordance with Onshore Project SHES, Construction & Quality procedures, regulations, specifications, standards, and permit to work procedures as applicable, including relevant RLIC procedures.

    Daily sanctioning of permits and monitoring of work areas. Participates in the review of subcontracts and ensures that adequate control and changes in work procedures are established.

    Your Profile


    Minimum of ten years' experience in construction and project execution Associates degree in Engineering or Science Recognized degree in engineering or construction management, and or prior work experience or apprenticeship leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.

    Experience in major Construction Projects with total capital expenditure > USD$1B Preferred to have recent experience on Projects and working in Ras Laffan Industrial City NACE III (or equivalent) CSWIP 3.

    2 welding inspector (or equivalent) ISO quality management system auditor / certified Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to review and comment on technical documents Great interpersonal skills
