    JOB SUMMARY Functions as Strategic HumanResources Business Partner for several properties and acts as theprime HR resource for the Cluster GM and acts as a leader, guideand mentor to Directors of Human Resources/Human Resources Managersof other hotels within the Cluster General Manager s Cluster.

    Develops and implements goals and strategies that serve to attract,develop and retain diverse premier talent which enables thesuccessful implementation of hotel strategies for that cluster ofhotels.

    Focusses on supporting the brand service strategy andimplementing brand initiatives for the cluster.

    Utilizes a HumanResources Business Plan aligned with hotel, brand and Regional HRstrategies to deliver HR services that enable business success.

    Asa member of the Executive Committee, develops and implementshotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet orexceed the needs and expectations of the brand s target customerand property associates.

    Provide a return on investment to theowner and Marriott International.

    Undertakes additionalresponsibilities for the properties within the cluster by visitingeach property at least once a quarter (or as required by theCluster General Manager) and conducts an annual HR Audit at eachhotel.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience 2-year degreefrom an accredited university in Human Resources, BusinessAdministration, or related major; 4 years experience in the humanresources, management operations, or related professional area.

    OR4-year bachelor's degree in Human Resources, BusinessAdministration, or related major; 2 years experience in the humanresources, management operations, or related professional area.

    CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Leading and Managing Human Resources StrategyAttends owners meetings and provides meaning or context to theHuman Resources results (e.g., retention statistics, critical openpositions, associate satisfaction, training initiatives, andresults); and demonstrates an understanding of owner priorities.

    Enhances the effective execution of the Human Resources BusinessPlan within the cluster by facilitating communication,collaboration of efforts and sharing expertise.

    Delivers soundresults by coordinating implementations, tracking results, problemsolving, and leveraging efforts across units wherever possible.
    Coordinates strategies across units to ensure cohesiveness andconsistency. Drives efforts to improve operational efficienciesacross properties. Translates business priorities into propertyHuman Resources strategies, plans and actions.

    Partners withRegional Senior Director of Human Resources to ensure that propertyHuman Resources strategies, plans and actions are in alignment withregional Human Resources strategies and the overall strategic HumanResources framework for the organization.

    Leads the planning,evaluation, resourcing, and follow-up of Engagement Survey (ES)related activities; in collaboration with the appropriate businessand discipline partners. Champions and builds the talent managementranks in support of Property and Region diversity strategy. Servesas key change manager for initiatives that have high employeeimpact. Monitors effective use of myHR by property managers andemployees. Creates value through proactive approaches that willaffect performance outcome or control cost. Coordinates andparticipates in succession planning activities in the market, asappropriate. Leads implementation and sustainability of HumanResources initiatives.

    Managing the Staffing and Recruiting ProcessPartners with property management to hire and train Human Resourcesstaff members who demonstrate strong functional expertise,creativity and leadership to meet the associate relations needs ofthe property.

    Serves as coach and expert facilitator of selectionprocess and interviewing procedures. Surfaces opportunitiesoptimize Talent Acquisition work processes. Analyzes open positionsto balance the development of existing talent and business needs.
    Makes decisions to manage the talent pipeline at the property.
    Develops staffing strategy (in collaboration with hiring manager)relating to hiring practices; consults with hiring manager oncompensation, benefits, etc. Monitors sourcing process and relatedoutcomes. Oversees interviewing and selection practices, makingsure that managers are properly trained and equipped. OverseeingBenefits Education and Administration Leads the planning of thehourly employee total compensation strategy. Champions thecommunication and proper use of total compensation systems, tools,programs, policies, etc. Participates in quarterly internal equityanalysis; reviews internal equity reports and surface issues thatneed a resolution. Managing Employee Compensation StrategyPrepares, analyzes and distributes and acts on results of InternalEquity and Comp Ratio reports. Documents and provides input to anyout of guidelines management compensation adjustments for regionalapproval. Drives implementation of total compensation managementpackages/offers, particularly recognition and incentive programsdirected towards property priorities. Keeps current andknowledgeable in the internal and external compensation and workcompetitive environments.

    Managing Staff Development ActivitiesManages and collaborates with Work Environment Senior Manager toensure work environment related activities are completed and issuesare addressed.

    Drives completion of the duties and responsibilitiesof the properties Human Resources staff members, as outlined inapplicable job description(s).

    Oversees training of Human Resourcesstaff in all employee-related human resources technology, process,and policy to appropriately respond to employee inquiries andanticipate employee needs.

    Serves as resource to property HumanResources staff on employee relations questions andissues
