Sr. HSE Lead / Project HSE Manager

• Reporting directly to Project Manager/HSEQ Manager and acting as focal point for Contractor, in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) related matters.
• Taking an advisory role in HSE matters, for the Site Management, as well as for the workforce.
• Monitoring the implementation of the contractual requirements, regulatory requirements and other applicable Client policies and guidelines.
• Establish the HSE Management Plan incorporating regulatory and COMPANY’s HSE policy and requirements specified in the contract documents, and also CLIENT’s HSE policy, objectives and targets. 
• Developed and implemented the HSE plan; procedures and guidelines specifically developed for the project.
• Lead a team that developed the project risk assessment & Job safety Analysis.
• Ensure compliance on JHA requirements by developing safety officers’ checklist
• Prepared daily and weekly HSE reports for both client and company
• Liaise with both client, MIC and RLIC authorities for compliance on necessary HSE requirements
• Directly supervised project safety officers
• Investigate and generate reports on any incident
• Developed HSE campaigns for the duration of the project
• Establish coordination among Client and Contractor organisations, as well as other parties as required.
• Promoting a positive approach in resolving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) related matters.
• Preparing job-specific HSE deliverables, e.g. HSE Plan; and reviewing on regular basis, or as required.
• Ensuring implementation of HSE focused inspection programmes at job sites with the support of the HSE team and other peers in organisation, to meet the objective of identifying hazards and managing the associated risks.
• Ensuring implementation of planned, or ad-hoc HSE activities, in line with contractual requirements.
• Participating and leading HSE events, such as HSE campaigns, meetings, stand-downs.
• Participating, and where necessary leading, the safety inspections/audits, emergency preparedness efforts such as emergency exercises, investigation of incidents and root cause analysis.
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance to personnel HSE training and awareness requirements in the project.
• Leading and coordinating the site HSE team.
• Ensure proper use of P.P.E.
• Monitoring safety performance of the organisation, in line with the project key performance indicators.

Maintain HSE related records that are required as per contractual requirements, as well as HSE management system requirements, e.g. incident registers, inspection record

Bachelors in Business Management (BBM) from MANGALORE University.

PG Diploma in SAFETY MANAGER from western Institute of Technology, Mangalore affiliated to Franklin University, Ohio, USA.
