The company is a sister concern of Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, which was created to develop the Cenpower Kpone Independent Power Plant ('KIPP') in the Tema industrial zone, close to Accra, Ghana's capital. The plant has a capacity of 350 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) with multiple fuels (light crude oil, distillate, and natural gas) operating capability. The KIPP is among the largest private IPPs in the country, accounting for approximately 10% of Ghana's total installed capacity and approximately 15% of its available thermal generation capacity.

Achievements:
 Successfully implemented alternate methods of installation saving material costs.
 Prudently assessed the risks involved during execution and prepared a mitigation plan. This significantly reduced project exposures.
 In-charge of the planning and execution of short term and long-term projects.

 Managing end to end works across the electrical department and ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day activities as per the client HSECES standards.

The Taweelah B Independent Water and Power Project is the fifth and the largest IWPP, developed in Abu Dhabi under the Government of Abu Dhabi’s highly successful program for the privatization of the water and power sector. TAPCO has power production of 2000MW and water production of 160MIGD.

Key Responsibilities: 
 Generator circuit breakers, MV and LV switchgears, transformers, chargers, inverters, battery bank routine, and periodic maintenance work.
 Troubleshooted on all electrical equipment and control systems. 
 Checked generator carbon brushes on a weekly levels and monthly maintenance activities.
 Ensured all work was carried out through PTW systems and strictly followed by plant safety procedures.
 Rendered expertise in the process and locations on the field. (processes involved are production of steam in boilers (from air and fuel intake till the production of steam), working of turbines (governor systems), generators (excitation),
 synchronoscope, transformers, auxiliary systems which support the main system, reducing stations, gas turbine (from air intake to the generation of power) and desalination systems (from seawater intake to distillate).
 Regular inspection of motors (11KV, 400V), pumps, valves, control valves (pneumatic & motor operated), pipelines, heat exchangers, lube oil systems, hydraulic systems, filers, air intake system, storage tanks (oil & water), oil unloading system, oil transfer systems, boilers, steam turbines, and gas turbines.
 Regular inspection of transformers, breakers (HV, MV, and LV), battery rooms, and battery chargers.
 Worked in the Control Room on temporary vacancies to carry out start-up and shut down of boiler, steam turbine, gas turbine, and desalination units.
