    Review complex and critical network assetdrawings, plans and reports provided by Developers of ClientsAssets, Projects Affairs and ROMD Sections for future/current ROMDprojects to ensure that ROMD requirements are met.


    • Review complex technical specifications in procurementdocumentation submitted by framework Contractors,
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to complex and critical designsolutions and/or enquires to mitigate various prevailing andimpending problems.
    • Carry out site visits to observe andanalyze operational parameters and feasibility of designedsolutions.
    • Coordinate with different stakeholders (AssetManagement, Sections, Design Department, etc.) to reach apartnership approach and an agreed solution.
    • Provide allrequired design calculations, drawings, project specifications,bill of quantities (prepare and provide input for tender and workorder specifications, work scope for asset design projects).
    • Manage and coordinate works of the team as instructed bythe Head of Section.
    • Attend the consultation meetingsand clarify all contractors queries.
    • Follow up theproject implementation, working on solving the design problems thatarise during the execution of the projects.
    • Research andkeep up to date with current and future needs in terms of Assetsand propose solutions.
    • Support the section anddepartment in emergency management such as rainy season activitiesincluding attendance at Emergency Control Centre (ECC) and/or site.

    Review and provide recommendations on technical aspects of assetdrawings, plans and reports provided by the Project Affairs/ProjectManagement Consultants for future ROMD assets at stage of concept,preliminary detail design and tender submissions.


    • Ensureadherence to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Policy andProcedures within the workplace and for consideration in thedevelopment of design projects.
    • Perform other duties andtasks as required Qualification:
    • Bachelors Degree inEngineering or Relevant Subject
    • Education qualificationobtained from North America, West Europe, Australia
    • Holder of Chartered Membership in relevant discipline (e.g.,Engineering) preferred
    • Current/valid Qatar DrivingLicense would be an advantage Experience:
    • Minimum of 10years experience preferably in engineering design within Highwaysand Roads industry
    • In depth knowledge of operation andmaintenance, and design activities
    • Knowledge ofprocurement and contract management
    • Competent inMicrosoft Office Packages, design relevant software and GIS, GISfiles to AutoCAD preferred, Microsoft Office Package (Excel& Word) and AutoCAD preferred
    • Experience ofworking in a multidisciplinary Organization preferably in theMiddle East
    • Knowledge of Quality, Health and Safety, andEnvironment policies, procedures and regulations.
    • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders and staff at alllevels within the Organisation
    • Ability to communicateverbally and in writing in English is mandatory.
    • Abilityto communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic ispreferred
