Our partner is lookingfor a senior role VPCoordinate and communicatewith different company departments, such as Customer Solutions,Bulk Shipping, Logistics, Shipping Agencies, etc., to maximizesynergies and help customers establish one-stop logistic solutions.
Manage annual estimated budgets Develop monitoring systems withCustomer Solutions to improve customer relations. Manage containerfleet strategy determine total container population (owned containers), and monitor production trends and expenses.Manage container shipping operations, including berthing, handling,port stay, port delays, productivity, etc. Oversee loading anddischarging plans in compliance with policies and procedures andfollow-up on stowage plans with ship leadership. Negotiate andmanage Container Shipping services, consultants, clients, andprograms. Recommend new Container Shipping employees and ensure allresources are available to complete assignments and activities.
Supervise Container Shipping staff, assign work, monitorperformance, and review results.
Coach subordinates, identifytraining and career development needs, recommend training courses,and follow-up on personnel records like timesheets, discipline,vacations, leaves, and absenteeism.
Maintain compliance with legal,regulatory, and other norms and regulations. Ensure operations/workprocesses meet all legal, regulatory, and other norms andregulations at the highest level. Protect the environment andemployee health at all sites/work locations under their authority.Help other BUs Requirements Bachelors degree required. Master ofEconomics, Management, Shipping, Marine Engineer, or BusinessAdministration recommended years in container shipping ispreferred years of leadership is ideal. ERP/MS Office expertBusiness-fluent English Marine experience Maritime Law,international transportation, logistics, supply chain dynamics, andpractices should be understood.
