    • Full Time Permanent Position
    • 3rd Shift, Sunday thru Friday 9:30PM-6:00AM EST

    Job Summary

    As the Engineering Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for the:

    • Supervision of all aspects of Maintenance for the equipment and facilities at the 800,000 square-foot Zanesville, Ohio Distribution Center.
    • Direct supervision and development of approximately 10-12 direct team members plus indirect oversight of 12-14 contract employees.
    • Support of safety and environmental compliance in assigned areas.
    • Administration of work order scheduling and control system and storeroom inventory management.
    • Management of capital projects for Engineering and other units as requested.
    • Management of inclement weather preparedness and response.
    • Responsibility sharing of budget for Engineering and for indirect sourcing contract management.

    Responsibilities
    • Provide technical direction to design, plan install and maintain plant facilities, mechanical, electrical equipment, and the associated controls.
    • Schedule and direct all assigned regulatory testing including Alarm and Fire suppression systems.
    • Perform vendor selection, emergency repair authorization and prioritization, final approval of work, manages decisions affecting indirect contract services on their shift.
    • Make sound decisions that affect the daily operation of the business.
    • Make decisions that affect Team Members based on Human Resources policies and procedures.
    • Provide technical support and training to Engineering and Operations Team Members.
    • Supervise Distribution operations, 7 days a week.
    • Report in person as required, to support engineering activities and operational emergencies outside of normal business hours.


    Requirements

    • Bachelor s degree required in a technical discipline, a BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
    • Experience in project/process management, continuous process improvement and quality control highly desired.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading facilities maintenance team in a manufacturing, production, or distribution center environment.
    • Experience in a computerized maintenance management system preferred. Must have the ability to read electrical diagrams, diagnose, troubleshoot, test and repair mechanical and electronic devices. PLC programming skills preferred.
    • Strong technical knowledge and expertise required: general plant maintenance, HVAC, preventative maintenance, facilities and, mechanical maintenance.
    • PC literate with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong presentation skills; interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
    • Experience specifying, selecting, and purchasing parts and equipment to maintain production equipment.
    • Occasional lifting up to 40lbs; frequent standing and walking; ability to work long hours and some weekends
