The Mechanical Supervisor oversees
all mechanical activities during offshore shutdowns, ensuring safe, efficient,
and timely execution of maintenance, repairs, and installations. Key
responsibilities include:<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/span><\/span>Shutdown Execution:<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Supervise mechanical teams (technicians,
contractors) in tasks like valve replacements, pump overhauls, piping repairs,
and turbine maintenance.<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure work aligns with the shutdown schedule
and critical path.<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/span><\/span>HSE & Compliance:<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies (PTW,
LOTO, confined space entry, etc.).<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and
safety inspections.<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/span><\/span>Quality Control:<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Verify that mechanical work meets engineering
standards (ASME, API, ANSI).<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee non -destructive testing (NDT) and
hydrostatic tests.<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/span><\/span>Coordination:<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Liaise with engineers, planners, and other
disciplines (e.g., electrical, instrumentation).<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Report daily progress to the Shutdown Manager.<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/span><\/span>Troubleshooting:<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Resolve technical issues during execution
(e.g., alignment problems, material defects).<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

Qualifications & Experience:<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical
Engineering.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Certifications: OSHA/NEBOSH, COSS (Competent Offshore
Safety Supervisor), or equivalent.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience: 8+ years in oil/gas, with 3+ years
in offshore shutdowns/turnarounds.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Technical
Skills:<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Expertise in rotating equipment (pumps,
compressors), static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers), and piping systems.<\/span>
<\/p>

o    <\/span><\/span><\/span>Familiarity with SAP/CMMS for work orders.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Soft
Skills: Leadership,
problem -solving, fluency in English (Arabic a plus).<\/span>
