Department: HEALTH SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (MES OPERN)

Primary focus of the role: Collaborating with other departments to ensure compliance with Qatar Environmental Laws, Regulations, Operating Permit QP HSE Policy Standard, and Procedures. Providing technical support and advice on Environmental Compliance for gas operations facilities and projects.

Experience & Skills:

• Writing specifications and reports.
• Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Conducting field inspections, reviewing proposals, and managing contracts.
• Working collaboratively with technical teams and being adaptable in assignments.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in computer usage and presentation abilities.
• Interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, problem-solving, and motivational skills.

Education: B.Sc. in Environmental Science or related field. Post-graduate degree in Environmental Science is a plus.

• Familiarity with national and international environmental laws and standards applicable to the oil and gas industries.

Responsibilities include:

• Applying professional methods to address environmental issues in oil & gas projects.
• Experience in environmental management systems and audits.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in environmental compliance and projects support, with a minimum of 5 years in an environmental engineer/specialist role within the oil & gas sector.
