- ** - Builds positive workingrelationships with external parties such as the customer,suppliers, and contractors. - Involved in networking, negotiations,strategic alliancing, and cost savings efforts. - Maintains pricingrecords reflecting the effort to complete discipline activities. -Supports proposals by developing the project execution strategy,estimating and reviewing costs, writing proposal content, andpresenting to customers. - Team member for negotiation andselection of successful bidders.
- *Business Operations** ** - Leads budgeting and manages project operations tothe budget. Controls project staffing levels, organizationalstructure, and monitors project discipline structures. - Overseesemployee usage, and skill development. - Ensures mentoring/trainingrequirements are met. - Manages the employee performance reviewprocess. - Oversees coverage of activities when people leave theteam. - Ensures project work and team activities meet all health,safety, environmental, and security requirements.
- *Project Execution & Deliverables*
- ** -Provides direction and management for every phase of a majorprogram to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget andin accordance with contractual obligations. - Plans and definesprogram goals and devises methods to accomplish them; developsin-depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, andcorporate policies. - Plans, directs, supervises, and controls theexecution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrativefunctions of the assigned program, project, or subtask. - Acts asthe Company representative with the customer and selected suppliersduring the program execution. - Negotiates changes to the scope ofwork with the customer. - Assists business development inunderstanding customer issues and business plans in order to marketand secure new/additional work. - Establishes the programrequirements for all areas of the program and monitors the draftand final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. - Assignsresponsibility to executing project plans for key subordinates andassesses how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. -Provides input to performance reviews and development plans forsubordinates. - Promotes technical excellence as well as theimprovement of the Quality Improvement Process. - Mobilizes Companyresources, through effective liaison with support departments,other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable ofcompleting effective, quality work. - Works with EngineeringManager/ individual lead discipline engineer to develop budgets,schedules and plans for the various elements of a project. -Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established inthese plans. - Monitors and reports to management on the progressof all project activity within the program, including significantmilestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost orschedule. - Works with Engineering Manager /individual leaddiscipline to devise and execute action plans to rectify potentialcost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes tothe scope of work. - Advises the customer and Company management ofany such changes. - Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health andSafety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and otherdocuments for hazardous waste work. - May participate innegotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings insupport of customers.
