University of Doha for Science and Technology – ProgramDevelopment and Accreditation SpecialistReporting to Academic Manager, Program Development andAccreditation, the successful candidate will lead all Colleges inobtaining and maintaining external accreditation for appropriateprograms, providing research on accreditation bodies, managingprogram accreditation processes, and ensuring programs meetaccreditation benchmarks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Thesuccessful candidate will collaborate with Deans and other relevantstakeholders to implement and maintain College accreditationpolicies and processes; -assist in the research and preparation ofsubmissions and key supporting documents for all accreditationactivities to ensure programs meet accreditation benchmarks.
Thesuccessful candidate will manage UDST's accreditationportfolio and maintain a central library of key documents relatedto accreditation to ensure efficient regular review and revisionand will create and maintain accurate data collection systemswithin Program Development and Accreditation to enableaccreditation key performance indicator reporting to informoperational and strategic plans and will liaise with Colleges toproduce reports and analyze data against specific criteria toinform and support the accreditation process and submission toaccreditation bodies as required, ensuring all deadlines are met.
The successful candidate will research external body accreditationstandards expectations to provide support to Colleges oninterpretation of those expectations in the context ofUDST's programs; identify required changes and informDean and VPA as appropriate and will manage the communication ofinformation related to external accreditation and provide trainingto faculty and employees on the processes required to obtain andmaintain accreditation and will prepare progress reports for seniorstakeholders at UDST, all Colleges, as well as relevant committeeson external accreditation processes.
The successful candidate willfacilitate faculty attendance at relevant conferences and seminarsorganized by external accreditation bodies to ensure up-to-dateknowledge within colleges and will manage external accreditationreview visits and evaluations, co-ordinate the external reviewersschedule of meetings, brief employees on the process, and ensureall travel and logistical arrangements are in place.
The successfulcandidate will support in the development and implementation ofprocedures, processes, guidelines governing the Program Developmentand Accreditation department and will participate in ProgramCurriculum Committees to ensure the alignment of preliminaryprogram proposals, comprehensive program proposals, and curricularchange requests and will participate in regular academic audits, asrequired by the line manager.
