A Research Associate contributes to the theoretical development of the project, such as identifying an appropriate research design and collecting data.

Salary:
Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Two years of related professional experience.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Essential Duties/Tasks:
- Contributes to the theoretical development of the project.
- Identifies an appropriate research design.
- Collects data. Modeling includes optimization, artificial neural network, and simulation.
- Disseminating findings from the research to relevant nonacademic audiences through reports and other mechanisms identified as appropriate as the project progresses.
- Contributing to the writing of journal articles and book chapters and organizing and overseeing academic workshops.
- Writing of midproject and endofproject reports.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Participating in national and international conferences and workshops to present the results of the project to academic, policy and practice audiences and to learn about current advances in the field.
- Organization and mentoring of students and less senior research staff.
