- Development of designs to satisfytechnical specifications, primarily using E3D
- Preparesupporting design calculations to substantiate design
- Contribution to design reviews from a technical standpoint
- Preparation of technical specifications in liaison withthe client and project team
- Preparation of designdocumentation throughout the design process
- Productionof design and detail drawings to the appropriate standard and inaccordance with the client's specifications.
- Preparation of risk assessments, technical files, and othertechnical documentation required by safety legislation andprocedures
- Liaise with the Senior Engineer/Lead Engineerto resolve design problems and answer technical queries.
- Reports to Senior Piping Engineer or Design Manager.
- Responsible for managing quality, progress, and cost of the workundertaken by their team
- May be responsible for managingproject sub-contract
- Interacts with engineers of otherdisciplines internally and externally
- Nuclear experienceor experience from within a regulated environment specifically inOil & Gas industry
- Degree in civil engineering or equivalent professionalqualification with relevant considerable experience.
- 5to 10 years of work experience as a Piping Design Engineer.
- Experienced designer with sound technical background andin-depth knowledge of E3D, SP3D,MicroStation and AutoCad.
- Conversant with codes of practice, standards andrelevant sections of statutory documentation applicable todraughting function
