    • Assisting in Leading KitchenOperations for Property
    • Provides direction forall day-to-day operations.
    • Understands employeepositions well enough to perform duties in employees'absence or determine appropriate replacement to fillgaps.
    • Provides guidance and direction tosubordinates, including setting performance standards andmonitoring performance.
    • Utilizes interpersonaland communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others;advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrateshonesty/integrity; leads by example.
    • Encouragesand builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among teammembers.
    • Serving as a role model to demonstrateappropriate behaviors.
    • Ensures propertypolicies are administered fairly andconsistently.
    • Reviews staffing levels to ensurethat guest service, operational needs and financial objectives aremet.
    • Establishes and maintains open,collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees dothe same within the team.
    • Solicits employeefeedback, utilizes an "open door" policy andreviews employee satisfaction results to identify and addressemployee problems or concerns.
    • Supervises andcoordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in foodpreparation.
    • Demonstrate new cooking techniquesand equipment to staff.
    • Setting and MaintainingGoals for Culinary Function andActivities
    • Develops and implements guidelinesand control procedures for purchasing and receivingareas.
    • Establishes goals including performancegoals, budget goals, team goals,etc.
    • Communicates the importance of safetyprocedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring employeeunderstanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and proceduresrelated to safety.
    • Manages departmentcontrollable expenses including food cost, supplies, uniforms andequipment.
    • Participates in the budgetingprocess for areas of responsibility.
    • Knows andimplements the brand's safetystandards.
    • Ensuring Culinary Standards andResponsibilities are Met
    • Provides direction formenu development.
    • Monitors the quality of rawand cooked food products to ensure that standards aremet.
    • Determines how food should be presented,and create decorative food displays.
    • Recognizessuperior quality products, presentations andflavor.
    • Ensures compliance with food handlingand sanitation standards.
    • Follows properhandling and right temperature of all foodproducts.
    • Ensures employees maintain requiredfood handling and sanitationcertifications.
    • Maintains purchasing, receivingand food storage standards.
    • Prepares and cooksfoods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guestsor functions.
    • Ensuring Exceptional CustomerService
    • Provides and supports service behaviorsthat are above and beyond for customer satisfaction andretention.
