    Job PurposeSummary: The incumbent is responsible for building and maintainingthe data infrastructure that enables data analysis and datascience. They design construct test and optimize data pipelinesdatabases data warehouses and other data systems. They also ensuredata quality reliability and performance through strong programmingdatabase and software engineering skills as well as knowledge ofdata architectures and frameworks.

    EssentialDuties & Responsibilities byDimensions:

    • Plan and monitor theimplementation of development lifecycle strategies policiesstandards and guidelines for design selection development andongoing maintenance of systems
    • Contribute todata model deployment in test and production and creating dataworkflow automation
    • Ensure properimplementation of strategies policies standards and guidelines ofproject management and control to deliver the projects assignedobjectives within the limited resources time andbudget
    • Implement test plans and scriptsstandards
    • Monitor and recommend solutions tocater for the user business requirements and provide the mostadequate systems to resolve theserequirements
    • Carry out any projects orassignment as assigned by Data Scientist or DataAnalysis
    • Participate proactively in any newprojects that require deployment or during the acquisition of newtool/technology required by the Group and follow up on the progressof ongoing projects
    • Implement and ensurereadiness of all data tools or software required by the datascientist team to assist them in building analyticsmodels
    • Implement and ensure all queries anddata sets are provided on time and with quality to the DataAnalysis team to assist them in theiranalytics
    • Implement automated processes anddata monitoring techniques to ensure data quality ensuringproduction data is accurate and available for keystakeholders
    • Ensure all dev/test environmentsetup and configuration are delivered on time withquality
    • Recommend live operations of thesystems or retirement of the system with the Groups IT architecturebased on business objective and strategy
    • Ensurecompliance and adherence to existing standards and policies by allthe Data Development staff and follow the most recent controlobjectives and best practices
    • Implement tasksaccording to the prioritization based on the overall business plansand other factors of limitation andurgencies
    • Ensure the enforcement of thesegregation of critical role as Developer and Tester as welladherence to all data governance and qualityguidelines

    Education &Experience Requirements:

    • Universitygraduate preferably with a Major in computer science data sciencesoftware engineering information systems or related quantitativefield
    • At least 8 years of relevant experiencepreferably within a Data Engineerrole
    • Experience building and optimizing datapipelines architectures data sets and all its underlyingenvironments
    • Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills (including report writing) in English andArabic
    • Excellent Coding knowledge Python GolangRuby Perl Scala Java SAS R MATLAB C and Cetc.
    • Excellent Data Warehouse solutionstechnical knowledge such as Panoply orRedshift
    • Excellent OS administrative knowledgeMS Linux Solaris UNIX etc.
    • Excellent databaseand relational database related administrative knowledge MySQLOracle SQL Etc.
    • Experience with data pipelineand workflow management tools (ETL Airflow etc.) and big data tools(Hadoop Spark Kafka etc.)
    • Ability to makedecisions and follow through withinitiatives
    • Personal integrity andselfmanagement
