    • Assesses dental condition andneeds of patient; uses patient screening procedures, to includemedical history review, dental charting, and perio charting; takespatient vital signs as required.
    • Deliversdirect patient care to patients as assigned, using establisheddental hygienist procedures; performs routine treatment procedures,such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants andflourides, and related procedures.
    • Develops andimplements individualized dental care plans for patients; performspatient education, discharge planning, and patient/family teachingunder the supervision of a qualifieddentist.
    • Provides chair-side assistance todentist in the performance of special tests, procedures, andcomplex treatments.
    • Makes impressions ofpatients & amp;" teeth for studycasts.
    • Documents dental history or chiefcomplaint; records and reports pertinent observations and patientreactions to dental staff, as appropriate; documents lab proceduresand ensures follow up on results;.
    • Assists withor institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developmentsduring treatment of patients.
    • Performs patienttriage and initiates patient care as appropriate for walk-inpatients.
    • Assists in preparation of patientcare areas, and in the patient admission, transfer, and dischargeprocess, as required; prepares reports and assists as required withpatient reception, telephone calls, routine triage, and otheroffice duties.
    • Performs miscellaneousjob-related duties as assigned.
