    Job SummaryThe Front Office Receptionist isresponsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficientservice to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, andat checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

    GeneralRequirements

    • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at alltimes.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate bothverbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in anattentive, friendly, courteous and service orientedmanner.
    • Must be effective at listening to, understanding,and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
    • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions tomeet deadlines.
    • Approach all encounters with guests andemployees in an attentive friendly, courteous and service-orientedmanner.
    • Attend all hotel required meetings andtrainings.
    • Maintain regular attendance in compliance withWyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards, as required byscheduling, which will vary according to the needs of thehotel.
    • Maintain high standards of personal appearance andgrooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform andnametag.
    • Comply with Wyndham Hotels & ResortsStandards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hoteloperations.
    • Maximize efforts towards productivity,identify problem areas and assist in implementingsolutions.
    • Must be effective in handling problems,including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solvingproblems as necessary.
    • Must be able to understand andapply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meetappropriate objectives.
    • Must be able to cross-train inother hotel related areas.
    • Must be able to maintainconfidentiality of information.
    • Must be able to showinitiative, including anticipating guest or operationalneeds.
    • Perform other duties as requested bymanagement.
    Fundamental Requirements

    • Greet and welcome allguests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Wyndhamstandards.
    • Maintain proper operation of the PBX consoleand ensure that all hotel standards are met (ifapplicable).
    • Answer guest inquires about hotel services,facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner.
    • Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages toguests and meeting rooms.
    • Review Front Office log andTrace File daily.
    • Answer inquires from guests regardingrestaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
    • Followall cash handling and credit policies.
    • Be aware of allrates, packages and special promotions as listed in the RedBook.
    • Be familiar with all in-house groups.
    • Beaware of closed out and restricted dates.
    • Obtain allnecessary information when taking room reservations and follow therate-quoting scenario.
    • Be familiar with hospitalityterminology.
    • Have knowledge of emergency procedures andassist as needed.
    • Handle check-ins and checkouts in afriendly, efficient and courteous manner.
    • Use propertwo-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with otheremployees.
    • Fully comprehend and be able to operate allrelevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
    • Beable to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shiftchecklist in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Be able tocomplete a bucket check, room rate verification report, andhousekeeping report.
    • Balance and prepare individualpaperwork for closing of shift according to hotelstandards.
    • Maintain and market promotions and guestprograms.
    • Maintain a clean work area.
    • Assistguests with safe deposit boxes.
    Education &Experience

    • College course work in related fieldhelpful.
    • Experience in a hotel or a related fieldpreferred.
    • High School diploma or equivalentrequired.
    • Computer experience required.
    • Customer Services experience preferred.
    PhysicalRequirements

    • Flexible and long hours sometimesrequired.
    • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of forceoccasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently orconstantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise moveobjects.
    • Ability to stand during entireshift
