    A hotel salesmanager networks with potential clients manages large accountsworks to maintain a loyal customer base and oversees hotel salesand marketing strategies.

    JobResponsibilities:

    • Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identifybusiness leads.
    • Analyse current client baseor target market for the hotel.
    • Devise newways to expand that client base.
    • Developcustomer accounts and travel within the local area to drivebusiness into the specific hotel/cluster and to increasemarket/customer share in all revenue streams.
    • Develop promotional and advertising materials for thehotel.
    • Oversee distribution of marketingmaterials.
    • Reaches out to organizations andbusinesses that might require a hotel for conferences and events.
    • Meets with representatives from thesecompanies to explain the hotels merits and amenities.

    Job Responsibilities 2:

    • Networks withwedding planners and special event planners to encourage hotelbookings.
    • Design and advertise special grouprates and packages to increase larger bookings. Prepare companycontracts for the hotel in accordance with current business andpricing conditions.
    • Negotiate roomrates/packages with corporate clients.
    • Overcome hesitations of clients to close a sale. Answer customerquery in a prompt and professional manner.
    • Manages accounts of highprofile clients.
    • Processes payments and applies discounts as necessary.
    • Addresses and resolves any issues or complaintsregarding sales or marketing.
    • Ensures thatguests are enjoying their stay at the hotel and that large groupneeds are met.
    • Maintains positiverelationships with clients to encourage repeat and recurringbusiness.
    • Work within current businessstrategies and recognizing potential opportunities.
    • Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to createan exceptional Guest experience and build strong comprehensivesales programs.
    • Manage staff performance incompliance with company policies and procedures.
