• Adheres to policies, guidelines,plans and programs.
• Performs all dutiesassigned to a consultant physician.
• Assumesdirect responsibility for the patients under his/her medicalattendance in the assigned unit.
• Conductsrounds and undertakes supervision of treatment of the inpatients aswell as screening and examination of theoutpatients.
• Undertakes supervisoryresponsibility for the medical staff within the unit and preparesregular reports on the activities of the unit for the departmenthead / chairman.
• Participates in the variouscommittees for the upgrading of services and organization of workwithin and outside the hospital.
• Participatesin the planning and implementation of the department developmentplans and the different manpower training programs for the medical,technical and nursing staff.
• Participates inthe planning and follow up of the medical education and researchactivities.
• Performs all relevant interventionsrelated to his/her field ofspecialization.
