    Electrical Technician(Required to have EX & ATEXexperienced)

    JobPurpose:

    Towork effectively as part of a team, building, inspecting,maintaining and repairing Company assets and equipment onshore,offshore, and internationally. To use your skills and knowledge toassess and apply effective electrical repairs and upgrades ofequipment. Help train colleagues across various disciplines.Undergo relevanttraining.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    Duties

    Check,service, repair and maintain all TCompanyequipment.

    Inspectand assess the electrical and associated systems to determine therequirements for refurbishment, replacement orrepair.

    Repairor replace defective and/or worn parts andcomponents.

    ApplyCompeX derived inspection principles to assess the use of ATEXcertifiedequipment.

    Attenddaily workshop or sitebriefings.

    Generateaccurate Engineer Inspection reports of assets andequipment.

    Logand report information in the maintenance jobsheets.

    Providetechnical advice and assistance to alldepartments:

    Liaisewith Engineering Department to obtain information to assist thebuild of newequipment.

    Liaisewith other departments to promote suitable improvements to theprocess, assets andequipment.

    Instructsite based operational staff on the correct use and operation of anasset.

    Sourceinformation from third party representatives asnecessary.

    HSEQ:ensure maintenance requirements are fully understoodby:

    Followall Company and HSEQprocedures.

    Addressany concerns and taking appropriate actions in conjunction withCompany procedures.

    Attendingmonthly safety meetings with QHSEpersonnel

    Outof Hours Process Support Assistance:

    Provideback-up assistance to other Company personnel by mobile phone asrequired.

    Offshore/OverseesProcess Support supporting offshore operations:

    Travellingoffshore to check, service & repair equipment asrequired.

    Beprepared to undertake medicals, vaccinations and training asrequired for offshoretravel.

    NVQLevel 3(E)

    17th EditionElectrical Regulations(E)

    Recognisedapprenticeship or training scheme.(E)

    BOSIET(P)

    Current COMPEXCertification(P)

    C&G2392, Inspection & Testing(P)

    Experience(s)(E Essential / P Preferred):

    Ability to workwell with staff at all levels(E)

    Inspection ofmachine electrical systems, Fault Finding / Testing and Repairs(E)

    Work withElectrical Schematic and wiring Diagrams(E)

    Carry outmaintenance routines(E)

    Carry outinstallations(E)

    Repairbreakdowns(E)

    Working withprocess equipment / heavy plant machinery(P)

    Working /inspecting Hazardous Area Equipment(P)

    Working withinthe oil & gas, maritime, material processing or temporaryenergy industries.(P)
