OverviewThis positionwill be physically located in Qatar in support of LOGCAP** TheLaborer, Lead oversees team of Laborers performing work at theassigned Incineration site.
Typical examples of work performedinclude sorting, sifting, and loading non-hazardous solid wasteinto hoppers for movement to incinerators, loading and removingdebris, loading and unloading materials and other items, and othertoilsome tasks assigned by the supervisor.
ResponsibilitiesThisposition description is subject to change at any time as needed tomeet the requirements of the program or company.Oversees laborstaff in performance on duties at the incineration site Overseesefficient sorting or non-hazardous solid waste in preparation forburning Oversees the collection and removal of non-burnable itemsand reports any contraband found during sorting operations.
Performother duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
One year related experience may besubstituted for one year of education, if degree is required
Experience Requirements:
Three (3) years' experiencesupervising laborers. Must read, write and speak English fluently.
Skills:
Ability to understand lawn maintenance techniques,equipment operation, and road surface repair. Knowledge and abilityin computer applications. Able and willing to perform other dutiesas needed, as skills and program allow.
Working Conditions:
Must becapable of working in an extreme weather conditions withtemperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/oroutdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e.,hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work.
Exerting up to 50 pounds offorce occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently,and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required forsome situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot,torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Mustcomply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
