    • Functional responsibility for thekey departmental areas: Accounts Receivable (insurance claims andbilling; patient financial counselling) and Revenue Integrity(Charge Description Master, System Contracts Management).
    • Ensures that a robust and effective range ofpolicies and processes are in place related to the scope of thedepartment's responsibilities, reviewing existingpolicies and processes to ensure both fitness for purpose andalignment with best practice.
    • Directs thedevelopment and implementation of a range of accurate and reliablemanagement reports that provide sufficient visibility of the keyperformance indicators at departmental level, including compliancewith policy. These include but are not limited to: inappropriatelycoded information, healthcare plan allocation and subsequentswitching, late charges, DNFB rates, claim denials, subsequentchallenges and rejections, accounts receivable, debtor days, valueof write-offs and/or lost income opportunities.
    • Ensures the daily monitoring of keyperformance indicators.
    • Works with departmentalManagers to ensure the timely identification and sufficientmitigation of underperformance in relation to departmental-relatedkey performance indicators. This includes identification ofperformance trends and the subsequent determination of the rootcause(s) of underperformance, both within and outside thedepartment.
